Summary of Transcript

Richard Lowe: Hello, I’m Richard Lowe and this is the Leaders and Their Stories podcast. I’m The Writing King, and I’m here with Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger, who’s going to talk about blockchain. Jeffrey, if you could introduce yourself and then introduce the subject.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: I’m Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger. I am the CEO and founder of Abundance and Optimum Wellness, where I believe we all should be living a life of abundance and optimum wellness, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. As a certified holistic coach, I’m taking a finance-first approach to achieving personal well-being by embracing new paths to true wealth in the modern world.

As a global ambassador to a high-tech company revolutionizing real estate, financial education, AI, and the metaverse, I’m deeply committed to empowering individuals and communities. My mission goes beyond business. It’s about creating access and building a supportive digital world where everyone has a chance to thrive.

Blockchain and the Paradigm Shift

Richard Lowe: So you mentioned blockchain. How does blockchain fit into all this?

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Blockchain is a new technology that’s revolutionizing the world. We’re in a paradigm shift. When I started with computers, we used floppy disks to boot up. That’s now ancient. Today, AI and blockchain are changing how we operate in every area of life. In 2009, I was offered 500 Bitcoin at $0.0017 each, 85 cents total. I said no. It sounded like a scam.

Richard Lowe: Same as everybody else.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Now I embrace the technology and it’s changed my financial trajectory. If people just open up and learn, they can benefit too.

Richard Lowe: Can you give a two-sentence description of what blockchain is?

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Blockchain enables transparent, secure online transactions. It helps eliminate fraud and increases accountability without needing traditional intermediaries.

Smart Contracts and Real Estate

Richard Lowe: So blockchain and smart contracts reduce or eliminate the need for banks or third parties.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Yes, especially reduce. Scams still exist, but the tech is smarter now. I lost $125,000 in a scam early on, but I learned, and now I’m connected with reliable experts. This technology is the future.

Richard Lowe: I wrote a book explaining smart contracts in real estate. It automates everything: signatures, inspections, deadlines. What’s now manual becomes automatic and secure.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: In my program, all that is handled by the company. I just invest in NFTs, they manage the real estate behind the scenes. No headaches.

Richard Lowe: So NFTs show ownership of something. With smart contracts, you can automate royalties, transactions, and more. The news overhypes it, but it’s deeper and more powerful than it seems.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Most NFTs are just digital art. Ours are backed by real-world assets: real estate, metaverse tech, educational platforms backed by Microsoft and Amazon. We’re rolling out to 8.5 million users by 2029.

Making Complex Tech Accessible

Richard Lowe: I’ve ghostwritten several books on this. Regular people need it explained simply. These systems are complex. But you’re shielding users from that complexity, which is good.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Just invest and watch it grow. I have a wealth coach, a self-made millionaire who’s added an eight-figure blockchain portfolio to his traditional real estate success. This is legit business.

Richard Lowe: It’s not just hype. It’s real business, just using new tools.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: I lost $900,000 in the stock market between 9/11 and 2008. This tech gave me a way to rebuild. The system is broken for most of us. Blockchain decentralizes control and gives people power back.

Richard Lowe: Right. The internet was originally decentralized too. I used punch cards and paper tape. 5MB drives were the size of washing machines.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: I started on punch cards too! We’ve come a long way.

The Book

Richard Lowe: You’ve got a book?

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Yes! It’s a free eBook: A Beginner’s Guide to Unlocking a Global Pioneering Opportunity. It explains blockchain, crypto, and tokenization, perfect for beginners. Major banks and even governments are now buying in.

Final Thoughts

Richard Lowe: Final thoughts?

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Be open to learning. Blockchain is overwhelming at first, but it’s the future. Take baby steps. What we know today will be obsolete in 5 to 10 years. Now’s the time to get educated and take action.

Richard Lowe: Like the smartphone. Twenty years ago, it was a joke. Now it’s everything. So how do people find you?

Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger: Google “Jeffrey E. Berger” and you’ll find me everywhere: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn. I host 5 webinars a month to help people get started, and I offer a free guide.
