Doors to Elsewhere

Three books about a way in that turns out to be easier to find than the way out

Somebody goes somewhere they were not built for

A mapper finds a projector in the basement of a condemned building. A scholarship student picks a warm phone off a bench outside the student union. A deserter with a warrant on his name walks east into a hole under a white house at the edge of a forest.

None of these three is a chosen one. They are people with working methods, and the method is the only equipment they take with them. Ari keeps a notebook. Corvin keeps a lamp lit and a rope tied off. Brit keeps count of what she is willing to do.

What comes back is not the same as what went in, and in one of these books that is a horror story.
