Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor for The Theory of Everything, playing Stephen Hawking across the progression of motor neurone disease, which required extensive physical study. The Danish Girl and Fantastic Beasts followed, and he won a Tony for Cabaret. He was at Eton with Prince William and read art history at Cambridge.
