Barron's Educational Series (now Kaplan Test Prep, after the 2019 acquisition by Kaplan and the discontinuation of the original Barron's branding for new titles) was a major American educational publishing house founded in 1941 by Manuel H. Barron in Brooklyn, New York. Across nearly eighty years Barron's published the working Essentials series of grammar and writing study guides (including Essentials of English by Vincent Foster Hopper), SAT, ACT, and GRE test-preparation guides, AP test prep, and a substantial language-learning library.
