Verna Felton voiced the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, Flora in Sleeping Beauty and the matriarch elephant in Dumbo, which makes her one of Disney’s most used performers.
She had a substantial radio career beforehand, including a long run on The Red Skelton Show, and appeared in live-action film as well.
She died in 1966, one day before Walt Disney, which is a coincidence often noted in histories of the studio.
