Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) Review
A New Hope is the film that created modern blockbuster cinema, and it did so by being something very specific: a myth engine. Lucas wasn't writing charact.
Kenny Baker operated R2-D2 across six Star Wars films from inside the unit, which was physically punishing and offered almost no visibility. He was three feet eight, had a long career as a stage performer in a comedy double act, and appeared in Time Bandits and The Elephant Man.
