Peter Pan (1953) Review
The film is structurally tight. The source material is darker and more philosophically complex than the Disney adaptation suggests.
Kathryn Beaumont voiced Alice in Alice in Wonderland and Wendy in Peter Pan, and also performed live-action reference for the animators, which meant acting the entire films physically for them to draw from.
She was ten and thirteen respectively, and both performances fixed how those characters move as well as sound.
She became a schoolteacher in California and taught for more than thirty years, returning occasionally to re-record the roles for later Disney productions.
