Constantine (2005)
Constantine is a better film than its reputation suggests. Francis Lawrence directed in his feature debut.
Djimon Hounsou was born in Benin, moved to France at thirteen and was discovered as a model, before Amistad gave him a lead role in which he speaks Mende for much of the film.
He was nominated for In America and Blood Diamond, and has spoken repeatedly and publicly about being underpaid and undervalued despite that record.
Gladiator, Guardians of the Galaxy and A Quiet Place Part II fill out the commercial work.
