Megan McDonnell wrote for WandaVision before being hired to write The Marvels, moving from a series that used sitcom pastiche to process grief into a feature with three leads and a very different remit.

The Marvels was poorly received and its problems were widely attributed to studio interference and reshoots instead of to the screenplay, though the credited writer inevitably absorbs some of it.

She is early in a feature career and the television work is where her actual range is currently visible.
