Self Counsel Press is a Canadian self-help and reference publisher, founded in 1971 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, by lawyer Diana Douglas. The press pioneered the working consumer self-help legal book in Canada and across the past half-century has published more than five hundred working titles across legal self-help, business reference, writing craft, personal finance, real estate, and other practical reference categories for Canadian and American readers.
