Bantam Spectra is a science fiction and fantasy imprint of Bantam Books, now part of the Random House Publishing Group at Penguin Random House. Established in 1985 by Lou Aronica out of the older Bantam science fiction line, Spectra became one of the dominant American SF and fantasy imprints of the late 1980s and 1990s, publishing George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, Connie Willis, Kevin J. Anderson, Robert Silverberg, David Brin, Greg Bear, Robin Hobb, and many others.
