I call Roger & Me required viewing for anybody who wants to understand the first-person political documentary and the Michael Moore tradition it launched. It’s funny, it’s angry, and it put Flint’s collapse on screen in a way no policy report ever could. I’d rate it higher if I trusted its timeline, and I’d still put it in front of anybody who thinks a documentary has to be dull.
