Mike Nichols won Best Director for The Graduate and made Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Carnal Knowledge and Angels in America. He is one of the small number of people to have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony, and came from improvisational comedy with Elaine May.
