Raúl Juliá played Gomez Addams in the Addams Family films and had a substantial career in serious theatre, with four Tony nominations. Kiss of the Spider Woman gave him a lead opposite William Hurt. He was Puerto Rican, worked extensively against world hunger, and died at fifty-four shortly after completing Street Fighter.
