Quentin Tarantino appears in most of his own films and several others, and the acting has been consistently the most criticised element of his work, which he has acknowledged.
Reservoir Dogs gives him Mr Brown and the opening monologue, and From Dusk till Dawn gives him a substantial supporting role as a genuinely repellent character.
Pulp Fiction’s Jimmie is the most defensible, playing a man of understandable panic. His directing career is covered separately and is not in dispute.
