Actor: Phil Harris
Phil Harris was a jazz bandleader and radio comedian before Disney cast him as Baloo in The Jungle Book, and the character was largely built around his personality and improvisation.
He then voiced Thomas O’Malley in The Aristocats and Little John in Robin Hood, all three of which are the same amiable rogue.
He recorded The Thing and other novelty hits, and his radio work with Jack Benny made him famous decades before the animation.
