Actor: Michael York
Michael York was a fixture of 1970s international cinema, in Cabaret, The Three Musketeers, Logan’s Run and Murder on the Orient Express.
Cabaret is the best of them, playing a repressed Englishman in Weimar Berlin whose sexuality the film handles more directly than most of its period.
The Austin Powers films gave him a late comic revival as Basil Exposition, introducing him to a generation with no idea about the earlier work. He has worked heavily in narration and audiobooks.
