Actor: Matthew Broderick

Matthew Broderick played Ferris Bueller, whose direct address to camera and complete unearned confidence made the character permanent, and WarGames gave him a similarly clever teenager three years earlier.

Glory gives him the serious dramatic role, playing Robert Gould Shaw as a young man well out of his depth.

He has won two Tony Awards and works constantly on stage, and voiced adult Simba in The Lion King. He is married to Sarah Jessica Parker.
