Luke Wilson appeared in Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums for Wes Anderson, the last giving him a former tennis prodigy in a headband whose breakdown the film treats seriously.

Legally Blonde and Old School gave him commercial comedy, and Idiocracy gave him a lead in a film that has been continuously reappraised. He is Owen Wilson’s brother and has directed a documentary.
