The Dirty Dozen is the better-known cousin of The Devil's Brigade, released a year earlier in 1967 to massive box office success. This is going to be a different kind of review because the experience was different.

Lee Marvin won Best Actor for Cat Ballou, playing two roles including a drunk gunfighter, and appeared in The Dirty Dozen, Point Blank and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. He was a Marine wounded at Saipan, and his palimony case in 1979 created a legal term still used.
