Actor: Lee J Cobb

Lee J Cobb originated Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman on Broadway and was nominated twice for Academy Awards, for On the Waterfront and The Brothers Karamazov.

12 Angry Men gives him juror number three, whose resistance turns out to be about his own son, and the collapse at the end is the film’s release. He was blacklisted and eventually testified before HUAC after two years of unemployment and his wife’s hospitalisation, which he described as a decision made under duress.
