Actor: Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon has appeared in a very large number of films across every genre, which is what generated Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, a game he initially found irritating and later turned into a charitable foundation.

Footloose made him famous and is the least representative thing he has done. JFK, Apollo 13, Mystic River and A Few Good Men show what he actually does.

Murder in the First and The Woodsman are the difficult performances, the latter playing a paedophile released from prison, which almost no actor of his standing would take.

He has never been nominated for an Academy Award, which is among the more frequently remarked omissions.
