José Ferrer won Best Actor for Cyrano de Bergerac and was the first Puerto Rican performer to win an Academy Award. The Caine Mutiny gives him the defence counsel who wins the case and then condemns his own clients in the closing scene. He also directed several films and won two Tony Awards.
