Actor: John Carradine

John Carradine appeared in more than three hundred films across six decades, which is among the largest filmographies of any American actor.

The Grapes of Wrath and Stagecoach are the John Ford credits, and he was a regular member of that company. He then spent decades in horror films he took explicitly for money to fund his Shakespeare company.

He was known for reciting Shakespeare loudly in public, and fathered David, Keith and Robert Carradine, all of whom acted.
