Ingrid Thulin appeared in Wild Strawberries, The Silence and Cries and Whispers for Ingmar Bergman, and won Best Actress at Cannes for Brink of Life. She also worked in Italy for Visconti in The Damned. She was Swedish and directed several films herself.
