Harold Ramis co-wrote Ghostbusters, Animal House, Caddyshack and Groundhog Day, which is as significant a body of comedy writing as anyone has assembled, and directed the last two. He played Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters films. He came from Second City in Chicago and died in 2014.
