Multiple animation studios contributed individual segments under different supervising animators. The film made approximately twenty million dollars on a nine million dollar budget.
Eugene Levy came from SCTV and appears in all of Christopher Guest’s improvised films, co-writing several with him. The American Pie films gave him a commercial franchise, and Schitt’s Creek, which he created with his son Dan, won him an Emmy at seventy-three. He has since presented a travel series.
