Claudia Cardinale appeared in Once Upon a Time in the West, The Leopard and 8½, working for Leone, Visconti and Fellini within a few years, which is an unusual concentration. She was Tunisian-born and her voice was dubbed in her early Italian films because of her accent, which she resented and eventually overcame.
