Charles Buddy Rogers starred in Wings, the first film to win Best Picture, playing one of two pilots in love with the same woman. He was a musician and bandleader as well, and later married Mary Pickford. He devoted much of his later life to philanthropy and received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
