Actor: Cathy Moriarty

Cathy Moriarty was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Raging Bull, her first film, at twenty, playing Vickie LaMotta across two decades of the character’s life.

A car accident in 1982 left her with severe injuries and kept her from working for most of a decade. Soapdish and Casper gave her a comic register on returning, and she has run restaurants and a pizzeria alongside the acting.
