Starship Troopers (1997)
Starship Troopers is one of the most misunderstood films of the 1990s and one of the most accomplished political satires in mainstream science fiction. The adaptation is loose in ways that have generated decades of argument.
Actor: Casper Van Dien
Casper Van Dien played Johnny Rico in Starship Troopers, and the film’s satire depends on him playing the propaganda entirely straight, which he does. Sleepy Hollow gave him a further credit, and he has worked extensively in direct-to-video film.
