Anthony Michael Hall appeared in Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science in consecutive years, playing variations on the same clever awkward teenager for John Hughes. He then joined Saturday Night Live at seventeen, the youngest cast member ever, and later played an adult lead in The Dead Zone.
