La Dolce Vita (1960)
Fellini's 1960 Rome decadence drama. Three hours of Marcello Mastroianni drifting through high society.
Anita Ekberg walked into the Trevi Fountain in La Dolce Vita, and the sequence is among the most reproduced images in European cinema. She was Swedish, a former Miss Sweden, and shot the fountain scene in winter, standing in cold water for hours while Marcello Mastroianni reportedly required a wetsuit under his clothes and vodka to get through it.
