Andy García was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Godfather Part III, playing Sonny’s illegitimate son, and he is generally considered the best thing in that film.

The Untouchables and Internal Affairs gave him earlier work, and Ocean’s Eleven gave him a franchise villain of considerable calm.

He was born in Havana and left as a child after the revolution, and directed The Lost City about it, which he spent sixteen years financing.
