Adrienne Barbeau appeared in The Fog, Escape from New York and Creepshow, and was married to John Carpenter during that period.

The Fog gives her a radio DJ who spends the entire film alone in a lighthouse, communicating with everyone else by broadcast, and she carries a substantial portion of the running time in isolation.

Swamp Thing gave her a lead, and she voiced Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series, which fixed that character’s voice for a generation.
