Click (2006)
Click is Frank Coraci's 2006 American fantasy comedy. The work attempts dramatic content that Sandler's commercial comedy filmography rarely accommodates.
Adam Sandler came from Saturday Night Live and built a comedy career of extraordinary commercial reliability, in Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and The Waterboy, which critics almost uniformly disliked.
Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems changed the conversation. Paul Thomas Anderson and the Safdie brothers both used the anger under the persona, and Uncut Gems in particular is a performance of sustained panic.
He produces through Happy Madison, employs the same collaborators repeatedly, and has an enormous streaming deal.
