Wordsworth Editions is a British publisher of inexpensive paperback editions of classic English-language literature, founded in 1987 by Michael Trayler in Ware, Hertfordshire. Wordsworth made its reputation by publishing classic out-of-copyright titles (Dickens, Austen, the Brontes, Conan Doyle, Twain, Thackeray, Trollope, Shakespeare, and many others) in working low-price editions at a small fraction of competitor pricing. The Wordsworth Classics, Wordsworth Classics of World Literature, Wordsworth Mystery and Supernatural, and Wordsworth Children's Classics series remain fixtures of working British and Commonwealth bookshop shelves.
