Tim Dorsey was a Tampa Tribune reporter and night metro editor who wrote 26 novels, most featuring Serge A. Storms, a Florida-history-obsessed killer with a moral code. He wrote the first, Florida Roadkill, in secret and quit the paper the day after it came out. He toured Florida's libraries and bookstores for decades and died in 2023.
