Money Pit Press is the independent imprint through which the retired FBI special agent Jerri Williams publishes her own work, covering both nonfiction about the Bureau and crime fiction drawn from her career.
It published FBI Myths and Misconceptions: A Manual for Armchair Detectives in 2019, which corrects the twenty most common clichés about the FBI in books, television, and film, and which was written explicitly as a reference for writers.
The production standards are notably higher than most self-published nonfiction, and the sourcing draws on the Bureau's public information and on interviews with retired agents conducted for the author's podcast.
