Liubomiras Lauciavičius appeared in Come and See as a partisan commander, and the film’s depiction of the Belarusian occupation was drawn from survivor testimony collected by the writer Ales Adamovich. He is Lithuanian and worked extensively in Soviet and post-Soviet cinema and theatre.
