Vintage Books is one of the most respected literary paperback imprints in English-language publishing, founded in 1954 by Alfred A. Knopf as a paperback line for Random House's literary fiction list. Now part of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group at Penguin Random House, Vintage publishes a major working backlist of twentieth-century literary fiction, criticism, and serious nonfiction by authors including Vladimir Nabokov, Albert Camus, Toni Morrison, Cormac McCarthy, Haruki Murakami, and Margaret Atwood.
