Actor: Robert Patrick

Robert Patrick played the T-1000 in Terminator 2 and constructed the performance around never blinking and never varying his running speed, which is why the character reads as something other than human.

He trained specifically to run without moving his upper body, and the effect is more unsettling than the effects work around it.

The X-Files gave him a long television run replacing David Duchovny, and Walk the Line gave him a genuinely good dramatic turn as Johnny Cash’s father.

He has worked constantly since in character parts, and was a merchant marine before acting.
