Olivier Megaton, who adopted the surname because he was born on the twentieth anniversary of Hiroshima, directs for Luc Besson’s production company and has largely handled sequels to films other directors established.

Taken 2, Taken 3 and Transporter 3 are the credits. His action is cut extremely fast, to the point that it became a standard example in arguments about geographic coherence in modern action filmmaking.

The Taken sequels made substantial money while being received considerably worse than the original.
