Actor: Viggo Mortensen

Viggo Mortensen was cast as Aragorn days before shooting began, replacing another actor, and reportedly carried his sword everywhere during production to become comfortable with it.

Eastern Promises brought a nomination for a fight sequence performed naked in a bathhouse, and A History of Violence and Green Book brought two more. He is a published poet, painter and photographer, speaks several languages, and runs a small press.
