Actor: Rene Russo

Rene Russo was a model into her thirties before acting, and spent the 1990s in commercial leads opposite most of the era’s male stars, in Lethal Weapon 3, In the Line of Fire and Get Shorty.

The Thomas Crown Affair gave her the best of that period, playing a character who is the intellectual equal of the lead throughout.

Nightcrawler, directed by her husband Dan Gilroy, is the late achievement, playing a news director whose complicity the film examines carefully. She has been open about bipolar disorder.
