3 Reasons Why I love Being a Florida Ghostwriter

What could be better than being a Florida ghostwriter?
I started my career as a VP of consulting for a small tech startup based in Cypress, California, then moved on to work two jobs at the same time, one as a VP and the other as a senior designer. Finally, I moved on to Trader Joe’s, remaining there for 20 years, serving as the Director of Technical Services and Computer Operations. I’d been working for other people for 33 years and I was tired of it all. It was time for a change. Finally, in 2013, I decided to leave California, move to Florida, and become a Florida ghostwriter.
I quit, giving 7 weeks’ notice, had a nice retirement party and a huge birthday party, then packed up all my belongings and moved across the country to Florida. I had enough resources to last me a few years until I got my new business started.
My dream throughout my life, beginning in childhood, was to be a professional writer. But life got in the way, with the need to make a living to pay the bills, support a family, and make ends meet.
But in 2013, I was free of all that. Finally, I was free of the rat race and could choose what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I didn’t yet know how I was going to achieve my goal, but at least now I was free to try. I had the time, I had the resources, and I had the motivation. I decided to become one of several ghostwriters in Florida.
Becoming a Florida Ghostwriter
Why Florida, you might ask? Florida is a wonderful state, with wide, beautiful beaches and glorious weather most of the time, except for hurricane season, of course. I enjoy the sense of community and the warmth of the people.
After some stumbling around, trying out various types of writing, I decided to become a ghostwriter – a Florida ghostwriter.
Passion for Writing
You see, I love writing – it’s my passion. I love helping people. Ghostwriting gives me a way to combine my two passions with a way to make a living. What could be better? I enjoy working with someone to help them achieve their dream of writing and publishing the book that they’ve desired for years. There is not a word in the English language that properly describes the feeling of helping someone finally achieve a goal they never thought they could achieve.
Writing Books is a Great Way to Make a Living
As of writing this article, I’ve ghostwritten 48 books on a wide variety of subjects. Given my technical background, it shouldn’t be a surprise that about half of them involved subjects such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity. I’ve also written several novels, memoirs, self-help books and business books. I can write about anything, since I understand how to do research, can interview, and have deep experience in several fields.
