Remote Ghostwriter: Your Book, Written From Anywhere in the World

I’m Richard Lowe, a ghostwriter and the author of more than 113 books — and most of my work is remote. It always has been. You don’t need to live near me, be in my time zone, or ever meet me in person. If your book is in English, I can write it, wherever in the world you are.

Location Has Never Been the Point

Ghostwriting is built on conversation, and conversation travels. Over the years I’ve ghostwritten full-length books for clients across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. When you add in the LinkedIn profiles and blogs I’ve written, my clients are genuinely all over the map — Singapore, India, and well beyond. The common thread isn’t geography. It’s that each of them had something worth saying and wanted help saying it well.

So if you’ve been holding back because you’re not in the United States, or not near Florida, or not anywhere convenient — stop holding back. That has never been a barrier to a good book, and it isn’t one now. If you want the full picture, here are my ghostwriting services.

How Remote Ghostwriting Actually Works

The process is simpler than people expect. Every book starts with an interview to find its shape and build a working outline. Then we go deep — twenty to forty interviews depending on the size of the book, all done over Zoom. Those conversations are where your real voice and expertise come out, and they’re the foundation for everything that follows.

I use AI tools to help structure the overview outline, which you approve before any writing begins. From there we work chapter by chapter: I outline each chapter, write it myself, and send it to you; you approve it or ask for changes; I revise; and we continue until it’s right — about a week per chapter. You get revisions as we go, plus one full revision pass at the end. A 30,000-word book generally runs about four months through the writing; an 80,000-word book, seven to eight. None of that requires us to be in the same room, or the same hemisphere.

What I Actually Do

I take your ideas, your expertise, and your story and turn them into a finished book that reads as if you wrote it on your best day. You stay the author; your name goes on the cover. I also work in Florida. I’ve written more than 113 books under my own name, including the Kindle bestseller Focus on LinkedIn, and ghostwritten over 54 for clients across the English-speaking world.

The Technical Difference

Before I wrote books, I spent decades in information technology — data centers, systems, the demanding technical side of business. That means I can write the books most ghostwriters quietly turn down: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, machine learning, the Internet of Things. If your book lives in a technical or business world, you won’t spend the first month teaching me the basics. I’m a writer who came out of the technical field, not one faking his way into it — and because the work is remote, that expertise is available to you no matter where you are.

Common Questions

Do you work with clients outside the United States? Yes — regularly. I’ve written books for clients in Canada, the UK, and Australia, and shorter work for clients in Singapore, India, and elsewhere. Any English-speaking country works.

How do the interviews work if we’re far apart? Over Zoom. The whole interview process — often twenty to forty sessions — runs remotely, scheduled around the time difference.

Do I keep the rights to my book? Yes. You keep all rights and all credit. It’s your book and your name on it. I’m rarely on the cover — usually just acknowledged on the copyright page or in the back, if at all.

Is the book written by AI? No. I use AI to help structure outlines, but I write every chapter myself, and you approve each one. The work that makes a book sound like you is human work.

How long will my book take? Roughly four months for a 30,000-word book and seven to eight months for an 80,000-word book, including interviews, chapter-by-chapter writing, and the final revision pass.

Let’s Talk

Wherever you are in the world, if there’s a book in you that isn’t getting written, let’s have a conversation over Zoom. The first consultation is free, and there’s no pressure. You tell me about your book; I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person to write it.
