Writing is my Passion

I love being a ghostwriter. In fact, you could say that writing is my passion. I’ve been professionally writing for almost 10 years now, from 2013 to 2023, and I will not stop until the day I die. I love ghostwriting because my skills and expertise help people.  I help someone who has a dream to write a book, I fulfill my passion, and I make a decent living. What could be better?

My First Ghostwritten Book

I’ve been writing most of my life. I tackled my first “ghostwritten” book at age 17. My grandfather handed me his World War II journal. He wanted to get it published – he tried but got turned down many times. A lot of war books were coming out at the time and the publishers didn’t see the market.

I interviewed him a few times; well, to be honest, I just listened. I didn’t know how to interview yet. Those were tough conversations, filled with pain, anger, rage, guilt, and other violent emotions. I persevered because I wanted to understand my grandfather, and writing his story seemed like it would allow us to talk.

In 1938, he was a cook on a boat called the Panay, which was part of the Yangtze River Patrol. When the war broke out, the patrol returned to the Philippines, and he was captured by the Japanese. He took part in the Bataan death march where thousands of American soldiers died, then spent 4 years in a Japanese POW camp until freed by the US at the end of the war.

The family warned me my grandfather was “strange”, “weird”, and “upsetting.” After listening to him for a few hours and reading his journal (and later rewriting it into a passable book) I understood why he acted the way he did. The things that I learned about my grandfather’s life changed my viewpoint and my life.

Unfortunately, the book was never published. However, I treasure the memories of talking to him and learning about his life and the events that shaped him. He wasn’t weird or strange or upsetting. He was a human being that went through horrible experiences, worse things than most people can even imagine.

I’m proud that I wrote his book and learned about his legacy. I gained a respect for American soldiers and all they went through to preserve our freedoms and lives.

Writing is my Passion

This is why I ghostwrite. To help people understand a subject or a story. I had the honor to write the story of an Afghani politician, a woman who pulled herself out of being human trafficked by her parents, and a man who has influenced the governments of many of the world’s countries. I’ve also written about the Metaverse, AI, cybersecurity, IoT, and other technologies as well as more down-to-earth subjects such as cleaning supply, dentistry, and insurance related fields. I’ve written science fiction, young adult, and children’s books.

I get to meet new and interesting people and expand my vision and mind to new horizons.

I can’t think of a better way to live my life. I am very happy now that I’ve found that writing is my passion.
