Prentice Hall was an American publisher founded in New York in 1913, which became one of the largest producers of educational and professional titles in the world before being absorbed into Pearson.
Its textbook list dominated several academic disciplines for decades, and its trade and professional titles covered business, technology, and general nonfiction.
It published Joseph Murphy's The Power of Your Subconscious Mind in 1963, which has remained continuously in print for more than sixty years and has sold in the millions, making it one of the most commercially durable titles ever issued by a house better known for textbooks.
