Open Road Media Sci-Fi and Fantasy is the science fiction and fantasy imprint of Open Road Integrated Media, an American digital-first publisher founded in 2009 by Jane Friedman and Jeffrey Sharp in New York City. Open Road specializes in the digital republication and ebook distribution of out-of-print and backlist fiction and nonfiction from established authors. Its SF and fantasy imprint has digitized and reissued working backlist by writers including Octavia Butler, Robert Silverberg, James Tiptree Jr., Joe Haldeman, Gordon R. Dickson, and many other twentieth-century genre authors whose backlist might otherwise have stayed out of print.
